I have always loved home decor trims and fringes, because of their rich look.  I have been researching them recently, and wanted to try to emulate this look in crochet.  I discovered this technique for making fringe, and I think it has a lot of possibilities.  The look of it can be changed by using a different thickness of yarn, using a variegated yarn, and by including beads.

I designed the Doodle Scarf to be a 1 skein project, and amazingly, you can even make half of the scarf and create a fun accessory!  It is fastened by pulling the tassel through the loop at the bottom of the pineapple at the other end. It is a mini scarf, that is easy to wear, and would liven up a simple sweater or coat.  I just love how the tassel falls over the shoulder.

I discovered this little treasure at my local craft store, Barakat, and loved it so much, I decided to get another one to give away here on my blog!  I just love the black, white and red color combo and the design looks so chic. I love the idea of using a pattern more than once, but I don't really like to make the same thing twice!  My daughter loved the "Genevieve's Belt" I designed for Interweave Crochet's special Accessories issue last year, so I decided to create a girl's version based on the same pattern.

I have been hoping that someone would make the Paris Belt and post photos, so you can imagine how happy I was to find out that crafty Domy Toleman of Créations Manuelles, had made not one but two belts!

I am a little late to the Chibi party, but I say better late than never!  The main reason I bought a Chibi is because I always seem to lose my yarn darning needles when I need them most, and I thought it would be great to be able to have them in a nifty case that I can toss in my crochet project bag.

Lately I have been doing a lot of crocheting in the round, and have been exploring techniques to make the pieces look their best.  I wanted the join of the end to the beginning of the round to be seamless.  The regular method of fastening off  leaves an unsightly bump.

First, I just have to say how adorable the model is.  They couldn't have picked a better girl for the job!

Hairpin lace is a technique using a crochet hook and a special loom, which consists of two parallel metal rods held at the top and the bottom by removable bars. Originally, a metal U-shaped hairpin was used, from which the name originates.  I read that women used to pull a pin out of their elaborate hairstyles to work with!

To celebrate the Mademoiselle Necklace being the most popular pattern on Berroco's website and earning over 100 hearts on Ravelry this week, I have created this ring pattern.  It is designed to complement the necklace.  It uses very little yarn, so it can be made from the yarn leftover from the necklace.  The link to download the pattern is below the pattern info.
